Wow!
For the amount of second-hand knowledge about the 64-65 World's Fair that I've come across, this film is a revelation. The fountains and New York Pavillion look especially magnificent, as does Shea Stadium (it's so clean and new!). In just four minutes, you will see the scale and magic of the Fair from the air!
The camera is shaky, as you'd expect from aerial footage shot with a telephoto lens.
If you download this, hit mute, as there is no sound.

I Was There....
Yes , these are views of Flushing Meadows, Queens, at the worlds fair site. As all New Yorkers know this is where Shea Stadium is located and this film actually does show the Mets playing a National League opponent. This brings back memories of NY in one of it's amusement park heydays. There was Freedomland in the Bronx, Coney island in Brooklyn and the Worlds Fair going on simultaneously at one point in time. The three largest ever in the city. Great and rare historical footage.

Dazzling!
Absolutely hypnotic views of the New York Worlds Fair. Ill admit, after seeing something like Panama By Air, and being totally bored by this, I was somewhat wary about watching this. But once this thing started going, it was totally absorbing! Crystal clear shots of the expo, and of Yankee stadium. Not a scratch, no fading, nothing! The other neat thing about this, is the camera work. The camera does some nice close ups, pull outs, and its absolutely spellbinding. This is a MUST SEE on this site!

The last hurrah for modernism
Professionally shot raw footage of aerials of the 1963-1964 World's Fair in New York. The footage is silent, but it is nicely shot in color. The quality of the print is incredibly clean. The best shots are some spectacular shots of the fair's iconic giant globe complete with illuminated continents. In the middle of this film is also some fly overs of a baseball stadium illuminated as if for a night game (but it does not appear as if a game is taking place)-- maybe Yankee Stadium, but more likely Shea Stadium around the time it opened in 1964.
Some of the shots in the later part of the reel are a bit dark, but still a wonderful document of one the major world's fairs.
